I was always drawing or painting. Pencil, charcoal, watercolours and oils. Then one day I discovered the creative opportunities of the camera. 

My first darkroom was set up when I was 14. Over the past 50 years I have worked in three photo labs, two of which I have managed, worked as a portrait and wedding photographer, a number of years as a press photographer, photographic director of a graphic books company, and run

a commercial studio.
